Middle school

All students in our middle school are assigned a homeroom teacher. The school day at this level is divided into 8 periods of 45 minutes in length each, and students rotate through courses taught by teachers who hold specialization in their academic fields.

Our program is designed to prepare students for success in high school and beyond through a rigorous curriculum that challenges students daily to find and solve problems, think creatively, take thoughtful risks and achieve personal success. Students are also challenged to consider how they can have a positive impact on the world, and are required to participate in service projects that help others.

Science

Instruction is inquiry-based through the application of hands-on learning labs. Every student participates in the Science Fair which affords students the opportunity to compete on the state level.

Literature / Language Arts

Our students participate in a rigorous literature and Language Arts curriculum which affords them numerous opportunities to explore complex text. Our students participate in the Socratic Method to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Literature.

Mathematics

Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Geometry. All students graduate with a full year of Algebra I.

Advanced Opportunities

Students who qualify are given the opportunity to take advanced coursework in math, science, and language, and may earn high school credit for these efforts and/or advanced placement upon entry to high school.
